Thanksgiving routine

Phil and I went to Justin’s aunt and uncle’s house for Thanksgiving. Which was very nice. It was nice to be wrapped in the warmth of a family on Thanksgiving. But I was sad it wasn’t my family….everyone gathered around the center island at Carol’s house, munching on peanuts, drinking beer and trying to talk over each other until the big traditional meal was ready to be devoured. And I missed our family’s traditional meal: a floppy paper plate of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, green bean casserole, wild rice, and like five other things I can’t remember. I knew we would have something much fancier at Justin’s, so I made up my own micro-Thanksgiving dinner. It didn’t hold a candle to the full frontal, but the hole was filled.
