Space Christmas
Strangely more fun than the Space parties where I’ve known more people and been able to invite friends. Partly due to the contraband champagne that Heids and I partook of.
The music wasn’t even that great, but the bubbles in my brain were.
The MPLS office rocks the all-black dress code, too.
Ohh, it’s late. Real late.
Three oh Nine Christmas
JC after he put on his suit and took it down about three notches – pre party Justin is pretty high strung. (But it was Camby who jumped rope outside for 20 minutes to blow off some steam before guests arrived).
Our fine friends. Dad, son, uncle.
Vito getting down and trying to seduce some unsuspecting partygoer. That was for the kids, too.
Holiday Party.
1. I pulled off an outfit I was worried about.
2. Late arrival, early departure, lots of champagne in between.
3. Talked to some people who now I can say hi to during the daylight…nothing awkward or embarrassing. Nice.
Thanksgiving routine
Phil and I went to Justin’s aunt and uncle’s house for Thanksgiving. Which was very nice. It was nice to be wrapped in the warmth of a family on Thanksgiving. But I was sad it wasn’t my family….everyone gathered around the center island at Carol’s house, munching on peanuts, drinking beer and trying to talk over each other until the big traditional meal was ready to be devoured. And I missed our family’s traditional meal: a floppy paper plate of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, green bean casserole, wild rice, and like five other things I can’t remember. I knew we would have something much fancier at Justin’s, so I made up my own micro-Thanksgiving dinner. It didn’t hold a candle to the full frontal, but the hole was filled.
