Dream House

A hideout in Lefferts Garden. An alcove in bklyn.

I want to live here.

Makes me think things like, “I bet I could take out a mortgage,” “Commuting for an hour into the city is normal,” “I would love to mow that lawn every week.” This house is crazy-inducing!

Testing out Philly

We chose Pat’s Steaks over Gino’s. And it was goooooood. Like three days worth of fat, but awesome. Glad I don’t live in Philly, though, cause it could be habit-forming.

We went in a submarine!

Justin’s tiny, undersized cart.

It took us a long time to fit everything in our three carts. And like 10 people commented on how awesome we were during our walk home.

Lettuce

Tomatoes

Basil, Cilantro, Thyme, Dill

Mint, to come. And Rosemary.

Brussel Sprouts

Rhubarb

Various Flowers

Hoping for more success on the flowers than last year.

Concerned about the sunlight – even less than I remember. Considering dragging in an abandoned mirror from the street to direct more rays our way. Our primary source of light comes to us by bouncing off the windows of the apt. next door. Yikes.

Planted the rhubarb on a whim. Reminds me of home. If it could live through an attack of the tiller, I figure I can grow it in bklyn. We’ll see. Very different soils, you know.
